Backbone Wiring: We run all types and sizes of feeder cable. This enables you to to connect your Main Distribution Frame (MDF) to all your Independent Distribution Frames (IDF) Typically we use fiber or a high count copper cable to complete this process.
Horizontal wiring: Also known as "premise wiring" - all wire that is run in the ceiling or the floor. Horizontal wiring also includes all cross connects, patch cords and line cords. Horizontal wiring is limited to 295' plus 10' at the work station and 20' for cross connect.
Network Infrastructure (LAN): Think of the data infrastructure as the main artery of your business. Fiber Optic Cabling: Fiber Optics is one of the best ways to extend your MDF to the IDFs. Most commonly used is multi-mode and single-mode fiber. Speed, bandwidth, distance and resistance are four advantages over using copper. Fiber optic cable transports a large volume of electronic traffic across the network quickly - up into gigabits (speed). It has the capacity to carry large amounts of data (bandwidth). Signals can be carried a hundred times further before needing a repeater (distance). Electromagnetic noise, motors and other cables have little or no effect on fiber (resistance).
Security cameras and CCTV wiring: Surveillance, new high tech security cameras and digital video recorder (DVR's) are definitely on the increase. Cable management: House pairs, location numbers and updated blue prints (cable management) are some of the most important factors to keep your Telecommunications department running smoothly. Poor cable management records can make your staff inefficient. At the time of install or any moves, adds or changes, Cross X Connect will provide you with clear and accurate labeling. We will update your current blue prints and or cable records. We can also be contracted to evaluate your current records and update them as needed.
Network testing and certification: We do a variety of certification testing. We will test, diagnose and repair your Cat 5E, Cat 6 using our Fluke CableAnalyzer. Documentation of your test results will be supplied to you upon request.

Guarantee
We test all cables in the structured wire network to guarantee they are functioning properly and do not exceed the length requirements in accordance with the ANSI TIA/EIA-568-B "Commercial Building Telecommunications Cabling Standards". We also perform a TIA Certification test for computer network cables.
